1923 Ford T Bucket

1923 Ford T Bucket

There aren't many folks out there who fail to recognize the T-Bucket's famous shape: open engine, open cockpit, upright windshield, and a stubby deck out back – all of which have been part of the formula since day one. It has that great raked appearance that looks like excessive speed has pushed back every component on the frame. With the wide whites all around, we are harkened back to the early days of Hot Rodding in the true sense.

The 1923 Ford T-Bucket says minimalism and this one gets it right. 1313 Mockingbird Lane meets Al Capone with a hint of hot rod bootlegging combine to make this “T” Bucket a real eye catcher that utilizes slick custom flame paint job and a throaty V8 that's leading the way. You will be heard way before you are seen.

Exterior
A full fiberglass tub artistically painted with a flat black background, overlaid with white hot, to yellow, to orange flames that lick rearward from the open engine bay. A generous peppering of chrome accents includes a radiator surround, window surround, mirrors, rack and pinion, headlights, and of course the massive power plant. Wide whites on fairly normal sized tires are adorned in the middle of their steel black wheels with small moon style hub caps. Queue the ragtime music!

Interior
The driver gets a fairly upright raking modern version banjo style steering wheel, and the chromed diamond plate dash houses a full set of Faria white background gauges. Luxuriously padded black vinyl surround wraps the bench seat. A tall shafted skull topped shift knob, emanates from the sea of red contrasting carpet. Surrounding the upper part of the bucket is plenty of padded vinyl making access to this doorless bucket a bit easier. Be prepared for plenty of people to ogle your roadster's interior at the car shows.

Drivetrain
If you're going to be spending all your time behind the wheel peering into the exposed engine bay, then it better be something as wild as this one. In fact, the 350 cubic-inch V8 might require sunglasses if you're going to be looking at it all the time. All the polished components (air scoop grabber, radiator, valve covers, hoses, etc.) radiating from the front is pure intimidation. Beyond its great looks are upgraded components like a new MSD ignition system, and Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. Oh yeah, and you might have also noticed the beautiful winged Moto Meter radiator cap. We know you love those side pipes with how they boldly they exit this V8, and they make a thunderous roar that will make people stand at attention long before they see you. Plus, the three-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission makes getting down the road easy.

Undercarriage
You'll also love showing off the suspension with the tubular front axle on a transverse leaf spring front, and the adjustable coil over four-link rear. and front disc brakes avoids the buckboard ride commonly associated with the “T” buckets. A fine mix of painted red, and black background of steel with nary a run drip or error on the underside.

This one is exciting to drive, fun to look at, and always attracts attention. The classic T-Bucket remains the most fun per dollar you can have with a hot rod. All in its 1923 vintage hot rod look, and all very well done!
