1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Z28 is the most famous Chevrolet RPO (regular production option) code ever. No other option code has become so synonymous with high performance. Other option codes have been used for well-known packages such as Z22 (Rally Sport) and Z27 (Super Sport), but the option names/descriptions became famous, not the RPO number. It has also been said that it was for 2 doors and 8 cylinders, but this could be a coincidence because 28 was the next code in line!

A very nice menacing black Camaro, with “T” tops, a supercharger, and leather seats, and only 27,835 miles, that's just the cliff notes….

Like a favorite toy, this was played with, then put away inside until it's next playdate. Low mileage, and it shows, as we see straight body panels, which mind their gaps, nice dimple free lines, draped in black, and then splash 2 wide howling orange racing stripes from bow-tie to stern straddling the middle. An orange pinstripe going lengthwise a bit above the belt line, and 4 polished steel chromed Center Line wheels, and this car is smokin'. Orange badging spices it up on the quarters and is repeated on the rear. Speaking of which 2 sets of dual exhaust peek out from either side of the rear and pump out some ear candy when you punch the throttle. Removing the smoked glass “T” tops just makes this car even sexier, and puts some wind in your hair, as its being raised by the increase in speed. Cowabunga!

A swing of the door and you are met with screaming orange and graphite leather heaven. Carefully orchestrated two tone seats in front and back have been peppered with just the right amount of orange, which holds true to the door panels as well. Noted are power seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, power steering and power ABS brakes. The standard dash fronts the gorgeous seats and is pristine, with not even any dust collection on it. Seen on the A pillar drivers' side, is a Supercharger boost gauge from Autometer. Black carpeting in very good condition floods the floor with its floor mats. Overall it could not be nicer, but it's a very low mileage car, and shows as such. Bodacious!

Let's take a 5.7 Liter V8, strap on an LT1 V8 Vortech supercharger, back it up with a 6-speed manual Tremec T56, and we are now ready for launch. Wicked!

Save for some expected surface rust on bare steel which is minimal, we are all clean and green underneath. Noting a few highlights, seen are a 10 bolt 3.23 rear axle. Independent front suspension, and power disc brakes all around. Totally Tubular Dude!

If you are in the market for a well-preserved piece of bow tie mid 90's go tie, then look no further. This minty condition car just rocks the exterior and interior black/graphite and orange color combo, and has a nice ground pounder under the hood. A perfect combo to go for a weekend drive, and smoke some rubber, and turn some heads! Bitchin'.
