1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe

Custom built this 1940 Chevrolet Master Deluxe street rod is truly masterful in every way. A very well-built piece in the grand old-school tradition, it maintains a stock appearance with just the right exterior touches to suggest there is more at work here than meets the eye, and it does not disappoint. The Chevy's rounded sheet metal was expertly prepared for the car's highly polished Orange Pearl base coat, then clear coat finish, which is highlighted with excellent chrome and brightwork

Exterior
Finished in Orange Pearl with full black leather interior, this 1940 Chevy Master Deluxe shines from head to toe. Painted over brite work adds a taste of modernization while retaining the original classic line (see the grille and alligator hood). Clean metal running boards sport a bowtie logo step plate, and have chrome tipped pipes peeking out from below. The curved trunk lid has been shaved of all badging, giving it a more streamlined look. American Racing Wheels are all around.

Interior
Recliner-esque black leather seats sit comfortably within the passenger compartment which has all the features of a modern era car. Starting with air conditioning, power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, power seats and tilt wheel, this street rod in ready to roll in the comfort of a luxury car. The interior is finished off with real wood accenting the black leather seating.

Drivetrain
Power is provided by a 350ci Chevy with Edelbrock manifold and Holley carburetor. A floor mounted 3-speed automatic transmission and side exhausts sums it up.

Undercarriage
Very original and showing the passage of time…but in a good way. Patina, and slight surface rust, a bit of oil seepage, and a new gas tank can be viewed on the photos provided with this description.
