2016 Fiat Topolino Coupe

2016 Fiat Topolino Coupe. #5615

This wonderful creation was produced and manufactured by Fiat from 1936 to 1955.  The name Topolino is Italian and translates literally as "little mouse".  It is also the Italian name for Mickey Mouse.  The Topolino was one of the smallest cars in the world at the time of its production.  Launched in 1936, three models were produced until 1955, all with only minor mechanical and cosmetic changes.  It was equipped with a 569 cc four-cylinder, side-valve, water-cooled engine mounted in front of the front axle.

For consignment, under what I would call “special construction”, we have a hot little fuchsia fiberglass rod resembling the Fiat Topolino.  It was custom constructed on a special frame and packs a walloping dyno proven 4 barreled supercharged 549 horsepower.  The interior is simply abbondanza, and it is a truly unique ass kicker car.  It's weight to power ratio is off the charts as it steps on the scale at a mere 2100 lbs!

Note: This vehicle is titled as Special Construction for the make and does not list a model year. Please consult with your local, county, state, country, or provincial DMV for proper titling procedures

Exterior
In keeping with its original design which went virtually changed throughout its Topolino run.  We lead the way with a fine mesh stainless shield style pointed bottom grille flanked by a single chromed bullet encased headlight hanging off of either side. The fenders have been left out and now we can look at the gleaming front suspension, braking,15-inch chromed front wheels, and chromed axle beam.  As we move back, the car harkens back to the classic stock dirt track cars of yore with an open cowl sideless hood and a chopped roofline which makes a beautiful curve to form the rear of the car.  The roof and rear glass have been cut out and now a roll cage and rear wing are added in.  On the curved down rear deck is an embossed spare tire insert sans the tire.  The rear fenders are also gone and now massive 33x21.50-15 tires are wrapping deep 15-inch ET wheels.  Massive side pipes hold steady against the rockers on either side, and all fiberglass is bathed in fuchsia, which is miles deep.  I can see Toby Tobias flying around turn 4 at the Fairgrounds kicking up dirt with the ass end hanging out as those front wheels go side to side keeping it sideways. Muah!

Interior
In the roll cage surrounded cockpit we see plenty of fabricated aluminum with dual bomber style racing bucket seats that are covered in charcoal vinyl.  There is a B&M shifter rising up from the rolled over aluminum hump covering, and in front a custom flat front swirl pattern aluminum dash.  It is peppered with AutoMeter gauges in black face and the speedo has a digital odometer readout.  A rally wheel makes the turns, and some other performance enhancing boxes are scattered about within reach of the driver.  Black carpeting is covering the aluminum floors and the door panels are covered in black simple smooth pattern vinyl.  5 point Simpson racing belts are on each seat, and a fire extinguisher hangs in the center of the back panel between the seats.  All in a solid roll cage, also you can look above and see the aluminum wide rear tail spoiler.

Drivetrain
You'll get a hint of what you're in for by peering at the opening in the hood where it simply gleams with the large supercharger scoop looking like two aerodynamic eyes peering forward at you shiny chrome.  Underneath is a BDS 671 supercharger being fed by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor.  This feeds fuel and air to a 355ci V8.  On back is a TH350 3-speed automatic trans feeding power to those big rear rubbers with a Ford 9 inch rear axle.  549 horses folks and that is not fooling around.  Headers and side-pipes are there for the exhale.

Undercarriage
Bolted to a custom tubular frame is a transverse leaf spring front suspension and rear 4 link with coil overs for the back.  Disc braking is all around.  All rust free and even dirt free, solid as a rock.

Drive-Ability
My partner in crime drove this speed racer and said it was exhilarating!  Massive power, great handling, bias free good braking, and easy steering.  All functions were working including his heart monitor which registered off the charts whilst driving!

A uniquely wonderful custom build with shades of some Italian history.  Just beautiful Limoges, awesome fuchsia paint, fiberglass and plenty of noise and speed.  If that doesn't float your boat, you may be a Mickey Mouse operation!
