2014 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe

When the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe debuted at the Los Angeles auto show, it was practically a given that General Motors would follow up with the ultra-hot CTS-V coupe at the Detroit auto show. With the CTS-V sedan's supercharged powertrain and other go-fast mechanicals fitted to the two-door's wedge-y profile, the V coupe is a sexy and formidable alternative to other existing performance coupes, the mightiest of which is BMW's M3. As with the regular CTS coupe, the V shares the sedan's 113.4-inch wheelbase, while being both two inches lower and shorter and with a one-inch-wider rear track.

For consignment, a diamond cut styled, bathed in Crystal Red Metallic beauty that defines the highest performing luxury coupe. This 19,580 mile car shares the same engine as the Z06 Corvette, that being a 6.2-liter V8 that is supercharged and pushes out 562 ponies! Exterior
All CTS-V models feature a unique grille that doubles front-end airflow to help enable its high-performance capabilities, along with an aggressive front fascia and raised center section of the aluminum hood that provides clearance for the supercharger. This CTS-V coupe exterior incorporates a number of unique cues that blend function with aesthetics. The dihedral Cadillac grille, for example, is larger to enable more air intake and features a satin finish, while the raised hood encompasses the supercharged engine beneath it. The front and rear fascias, as well as a rear spoiler that houses the center high-mounted stop lamp, are specific to the car, as are its standard 19-inch wheels. High-intensity discharge headlamps with Adaptive Forward Lighting System are standard, and fog lamps are standard also. All this is bathed in Crystal Red Metallic and polished aluminum wheels, and we have stunner and a runner. Interior
This CTS-V interior features streamlined instrumentation, LED lighting and hand-cut-and-sewn accents. We see performance seats featuring neutral gray perforated sueded microfiber inserts designed to hold the driver and front passenger in place during cornering. Complementing the performance seating are a thick steering wheel and a gauge package designed for easy, at-a-glance reference during performance driving. Large instruments have bold readouts, including an LED-lit “tracer” function in the tachometer that flashes as the engine nears the red line. The gauge layout includes a boost gauge and a lateral acceleration display. Competition gray, ( light and dark), accents grace the center stack, console, steering wheel and door panels. Also featuring an audio system with navigation, including AM/FM stereo, CD/MP3 playback, Bose Surround Sound with 10 speakers, 40-gig hard drive and USB with audio connectivity, is standard, as is Bluetooth phone connectivity. Noted is a rearview backup cam, ultrasonic rear park assist warning system, adaptive remote start, heated and cooled and 8 way adjustment driver's seat, and above a power sunroof. All floated by black carpeting which is pristine. Go fast but go in style! Oh and almost forget the 2 plus 2 rear bench that also holds the passengers tight for the thrill ride!

Drivetrain
With a 6.2-liter displacement and V8 format this supercharged mill puts out 565 horses and 551 lbs-ft. torque. On back is a 6-speed 6L90E automatic transmission complete with paddle shifter option on the steering wheel. A 3.73 limited slip differential is on the back and helps spin the tires!

Undercarriage
Save for just a “smidge” of surface rust it is all looking just fine underneath. Independent coil springs and Brembo power disc brakes are for the front, and on the back are more Brembo power disc brakes surrounded by independent multi link coil springs. Factory dual exhaust provides the enormous exhale.

Drive-Ability
In the lap of luxury, living large and going like a bolt of lightning, this chiseled form does not disappoint on the performance end. It goes on seemingly forever with the power, handles very nicely, and stops on a dime with the Brembo's. All functions were working as they should, and it is a luxurious and neck snapping ride that is for you and your passengers to enjoy.

Looking racy and stylish, optioned out the wazoo, and plenty of power via the supercharger Z06 Corvette engine, what more could you ask for? How about the keys to take her home?! Awesome!!
