2017 Cadillac ATS-V Sedan 

When it comes to small sports sedans, the Germans have dominated for decades with well known names like M3 and C63.  These are the types of cars that are tire screechers on our back roads, and still have enough luxury and practicality that one can justify them as a daily driver.  Lately this market has been under attack by an American car called the ATS-V.  It has a bi turbo charged V6, Brembo brakes and magnetic control suspension.  This is the perfect combo for a world class sports sedan.

For consignment, a competitor to the Euro market in the form of a 2017 Cadillac ATS-V.  It can go from 0-60 in a respectable and neck snapping 4.2 seconds.  This car is donned with the Luxury Package, Navi, Bose surround stereo, and power sunroof.  It has 18-inch aftermarket wheels.  It is a one owner, well cared for, and much loved car.  Look out Europe!

Exterior
Phantom Gray Metallic is the apropos color for this rocket ship which sports chiseled but still subtle rounded looks.  It has a honeycombed grille inset with aero vertical LED headlights and aggressive hood scoop.  And with its big wheels, functional vents and flare pans it manages to walk the performance line and still fly under the radar as a daily commuter with some serious chutzpah.  A wonderful low profile roofline, rear spoiler and vertical tail lights on either rear edge of the quarters, along with the big V shaped third brake light and stainless bumper central guard, it takes on a futuristic look.  Quad exhaust peek out from under a rear diffuser.  Factory 18-inch wheels add plenty of bling to the edges and you can see the cool red Brembo brake pad calipers with the snappy wheels.  Our consignor states this car also comes with aftermarket wheels wrapped in winter tires.

Interior
A swing of the doors and we are greeted with plenty of technology and convenience buttons and dials.  On the black leather and molded plastic doors with some broadcloth highlighting and we see power windows, locks, and mirrors as well as adjustable seat memory buttons.  The seats are smooth black leather bolsters with suede inserts, high back buckets in front and a matching rear bench.  A center console is noted with shifter, cupholders and a small storage glovebox.  Mode buttons are here for the large display screen interaction.  Electronic buttons for climate controls and with that screen you can choose between AM/FM/CD or find you way with the onboard navigation while you listen to tunes via the XM capable stereo with bluetooth connectivity and it sports a Bose sound system to rock on.  With the luxury package you have access to tri zone climate controls, rear camera mirror, split rear folding seat, heated rear seats, rear glass power shade, and a 110V power receptacle.  Nice black carpeting is below and above is a power sunroof and tight headliner.

Drivetrain
Under the hood and under all those plastic coverings sits a 3.6 liter twin turbo V6.  It has an output of 464hp, is fed by EFI and a 6 speed manual transmission is on, (Tremec TR6060).  On the back is a 3.73 rear axle.  

Undercarriage
Magnetic ride control, full independent suspension and power Brembo disc braking is all around in this rust free performance covering undercarriage.

Drive-Ability
Luxury Sport best describes the driving experience of this car.  It takes off like a rocket ship, handles like it's on rails and has all the conveniences one could want.  I'll take this over the BMW or for that matter anything else.  It's a sports car fer sur.

Move over unreliable Euro trash and make way for this chiseled beauty with many conveniences and magnetic ride control.  That's just the tip of the iceberg though, as it has some serious twin turbo power but looks like the mild mannered Cadillac of its namesake.
