2015 Dodge Viper GT Coupe 

Since its introduction to the raceway and roads in the early Nineties, the Dodge Viper has been one of the few true American performance cars.  With an engine that can compete with European luxury cars, and designed by Lamborghini, (owned by Chrysler), the Viper has been a favorite among car enthusiasts for a few decades, however the Viper's legacy was coming to an end once again in 2017.

Since it would eventually end, why not run out and snap up this true legend of a sports car in the form of this consignment, a 32,224 title verified mile 2015 version of the Viper GT.  Aggressive design, unbelievable power, rail-like handling for road and track, you have a weekly commuter car and a weekend race car all bathed in menacing black, which gives plenty of fair warning for those who tempt you to probably think the better of it. 

Exterior
Since its inception this car has taken on a way more aggressive design with a sculpted front end and its large lower grille, bumpy curvaceous hood with rear facing whale nostril like openings and curves, sexy side boomerang shaped coves, rocker inserted hidden side pipe exhaust exits, bulbous Ford GT40-esque roofline, greenhouse rear glass, and uber wide track look for the back of the car.  Under the rear is the beginnings of a diffuser, hidden from sight, but it's there.  This beautiful consignment is all bathed in near perfect Viper Black Clearcoat and has “Rattler”, (think snake!), Hyper Black wheels with 295/30ZR18 front tires and 355/30ZR19 rear tires from 2016 and 2017 respectively.  Red caliper Brembo brakes can be seen within the wheels.

Interior
As I open the doors I feel like a kid opening the centerfold of a Playboy magazine revealing this wonderfully curved specimen that uses molded plastic in charcoal black door panels.  These sport some black suede as accenting inserts and brushed aluminum in plastic form along with stitched leather armrests.  Power toggles are here as well.  Sliding inside I come to rest on more centerfold action on the upper end Sabelt Nappa colored leather and Alcantara high back racing buckets.  They have leather bolsters to hold me in them and Alcantara inserts with just a touch of more brushed aluminum plastic opening inserts in the headrests.  The remainder of the interior is black, including the center console and dash.  All more sexy curves to feast my wandering eyes on with a deeply inset instrument panel with digital display sweep round gauges and eyeball vents all surrounded by the accenting brushed aluminum.  In dash central is a display panel that provides displays for the factory U Connect AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth/HD stereo and 12 speaker audio and other hookups this car is capable of.  Nice clean black carpeting covers the floors, and a wonderfully  tight black headliner resides. The back of the car actuated by a popper, lifts to reveal a carpeted storage area which is very clean.

Drivetrain
A tip forward, like I would my hat, of the hood I see an X frame protecting the fully encased 8.4 liter V10 monster.  It has EFI and a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission on back feeding power to a 3.55 GKN Visco Lok rear axle.  With 640hp on tap, its not a matter of if, but when the snake bites….OH WAIT!!..

Undercarriage
Just beautifully preserved fully aero encased aluminum and steel coverings all over this underside.  This car rides on an independent multi link suspension on all 4 corners and it is a dual mode suspension changeable on the fly by the driver.  Also it has 5 modes of stability controls so you can choose between grandma and unbridled fun.  Brembo power disc brakes bring this snake to a charming halt.

Drive-Ability
One of the newer Vipers I've driven and they have made many improvements.  Ergonomics are a snap.  Acceleration is also a snap..of the neck type, and shifting and all the modes make a world of difference.  That said, I'd recommend a driving class before screwing around with these.  All functions worked like a charm.  It's an E ticket ride if you will.

The newest example to date here at Classic Auto Mall and it is a stunner, runner and gunner.  Wonderful design, awesome power and it will strike in a moment's notice with some pure venom.  Hurry up it will not last long as it has fairly low miles and presents in excellent well cared for condition.
