1995 GMC Sierra Pickup

1995 GM Sierra  Pickup

It's obvious that GM built 1/2 ton pickups like this 1995 GMC Sierra with utility and practicality in mind, but they certainly didn't forget about style.  Sure, it's still a rugged truck underneath, but on the outside it's one of the best-looking trucks ever built.

For consignment, we take on this “best looking mantra” and put it on the floor with its slick two tone Forest Green Metallic, and Beige accenting.  All aero it appears as seamless right down to the bed topper which looks like it came with the truck….and it did!  A simple aero grille, some side steps to get inside and large bump up bed covering adding more space to the cargo area.  Always garage kept, this two owner truck has been well cared for during its life and it looks it.

Exterior
This truck's sleek two tone look comes from careful blending of Forest Green Metallic paint using color-matched grille surround and chromed front bumper, black chin spoiler with some pull hooks inserted.  Black shiny painted mirrors and handles, and polished star shaped 16-inch wheels set the pickup's aggressive stance.  1995 was the last year you could get an extended cab this big without at least one hinged door, and with all the 4-door trucks on the road today, it's nice to see a throwback to the way that things used to be.  The laser straight bodywork and clean paint, means it has always been someone's special truck.  Out back, the bed is lined with black tough rubber bed liner that really looks great against the green sides and white interior of the cap.  There's enough real estate back there to drag away half of Home Depot with you on the weekends.  Other neat touches include the big red GMC emblem in the front grille, clear plastic for the headlights/taillights, and slightly tinted windows that give the truck a celebrity disposition that works great.

Interior
The C/K pickups were all fairly plain and straightforward in these years, so the owner of this '95  kept the factory broadcloth interior in tan and kept it in immaculate condition.  Flanking a matching center console, the seats have been covered in tan tweed pattern broadcloth, a pattern that's mirrored on the door panels and give the cab the upscale feel of a luxury car and the look of a sports car – and it's all still in great condition.  The big stock steering wheel remains and immediately reminds you that this is a modern truck, as do the original gauges just beyond it.  The truck is outfitted with options like cold A/C, power windows and locks, cruise control, a tilt steering column, and the entertainment system is an AM/FM/Cassette stereo head unit.  In the back, room for at least 3 more which will be seated on a wide bench stretching from door to door.  Breathe it in, right up to the second upper roof console with some lighting, fancy storage flip downs, and garage door opener bins.

Drivetrain
Under the hood in a very clean corrosion and rust free engine bay, sits the original, 350ci V8.  It is putting out a proposed 200hp and is fed by EFI.  A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission on back.  The front and rear pumpkins have 3.42 gears.  Stock exhaust and nearly showroom appearance, make for an always impressive with this condition.

Undercarriage
The underside is equally as impressive with some factory forest green overspray, plenty of black rust proofing, and nary even a sign of any road dirt or for that matter rust.  Independent torsion bars are upfront, and in back are leaf springs making up the suspension.  Power disc brakes are upfront, and in back are power drums.  Like new rubber is all around.

Drive-Ability
An excellent driver, fully functional, fully impressive even can go fully loaded with conveniences options and cargo if you must.  Bias free panic stopping, solid shifting, and smooth acceleration are just a few of the highlights of this buttoned up '95 example.

Why pay BIG money for a new truck when you can cruise around from job to job running this classic which is equally as nice?  Well maintained, two owners, this two tone aero designed truck is ripe for the picking.  As the consignor states it needs nothing, just a new home in your garage.
