1994 Jeep Wrangler

1994 Jeep Wrangler

The Jeep Wrangler is the direct descendant of the 1940 Willys Quad prototype vehicle that was commissioned by the United States Army and eventually developed into the 1941-1945 Willys MB. The rugged, capable and cheap MB was everywhere during World War II. At some point, the MB took on the nickname "Jeep."

For consignment, a Wrangler that has undergone a full restoration, with like new knobby tires, a full paper documentation along with a flash drive with photos of the redux, a cleaned and painted frame and undercarriage, and all in excellent condition ready to get a little mud on the tires. “Climb every mountain…”

Exterior
Deep navy blue steel coats the rust free body, which maintains the factory gaps and displays nicely with plain black steel bumpers and black flexible fenders flares. 15” factory aluminum wheels which are wrapped in nearly new Firestone Destination 30x9.50R15LT mud slingers. The long running and instantly recognizable Jeep grille leads the way and is flanked by traditional round headlights. The exterior latched hood leads back to the slightly raked windshield which gives support to a nice dark gray factory hardtop with lightly tinted windows, all of which can be removed giveing one an open cockpit and rear passenger area. Shiny diamond plate has been added along the rocker panels along with some swoopy red decal striping that drops down mid door and runs rearward with the obligatory "Wrangler" decal just aft of the end of the stripe. A note to the full-sized spare hanging off the back-swing mount for it, allowing full access to the rear cargo area. “Search high and low...”

Interior
A climb inside and we see cloth making up the seats. Smooth light gray makes up the seating surfaces which have been fitted with body hugging bolsters and appear as nearly new. The rear bench also shows in light gray cloth with some diagonal stitching but does have some light wear and staining. The dash utilizes more charcoal for its plastic as well and presents very nicely. A multi-gauge cluster sits in front of the driver and in the center of the dash is a Sony AM/FM/CD player, heater/AC control knobs, small round auxiliary gauges in square pods, and ventilation outlets. Charcoal gray indoor/outdoor carpet covers the floors and shows almost no wear and is protected by black deeply treaded rubber mats. A shifter for the transfer case grows from the center hump and a small black plastic console resides between the seats. In the rear storage compartment clean charcoal gray carpet is seen. Very nice overall interior. “Follow every byway…”

Drivetrain
The 4.0 liter inline 6-cylinder turns this 4x4's screws and is aided in doing so by electronic fuel injection and a 3-speed Chrysler 32RH automatic transmission. 3.07 geared axles help you climb your way over every obstacle that gets in your path. Our consignor notes that all seals and gaskets were replaced during the restoration. “Every path you know...”

Undercarriage
Deep gloss black covers all components of the undercarriage save for the OEM single exhaust system and flooring. A few areas show surface rust but all strong straight frame, and suspension underneath. Any issues that had developed have been rectified including repairs to the rusted frame. Leaf springs are on both the front and the rear along with dual pumpkins for your 4 wheelin. Front power disc brakes and rear power drums for your wilderness stop offs are noted and have recently had new lines, hoses, calipers and wheel cylinders installed. “Fjord every stream…”

Drive-Ability
This baby fires right up, runs smoothly, and all 4x4 gears work perfectly. A bit of a ride, but based on the fact it's a Jeep, pretty good. The tires sing a bit when you cruise, and unfortunately the Classic Auto Mall test area does not have anything over 10 feet in altitude to try to climb.

A fully restored and documented all good condition Wrangler, complete with knobby Firestone tires, as well as a nice interior and a removable hardtop, this truck is ready to take you where no man has gone before, or at least the wilds of this country where you can reach new heights and sing its praises.
