2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ

The Jeep Wrangler is the direct descendant of the 1940 Willys Quad prototype vehicle that was commissioned by the United States Army and eventually developed into the 1941-1945 Willys MB. The rugged, capable and cheap MB was everywhere during World War II. At some point, the MB took on the nickname "Jeep."

Exterior
Patriot Blue Pearl steel coats the rust-free body, which maintains the factory gaps and displays nicely with plain black steel bumpers and black flexible fenders flares. 15” factory aluminum wheels which are wrapped in BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A 33x10.50R15 mud slingers. The long running and instantly recognizable Jeep grille leads the way and is flanked by traditional round headlights. The exterior latched hood leads back to the slightly raked windshield which gives support to a nice black canvas top with clear windows which can be pulled back making an open cockpit and rear passenger area. A nice sound/roll bar stretches from B pillar to B pillar and aids in protection if you happen to get the rubber facing the sky (hey stuff happens!). A note to the full sized and covered spare hanging off the back-swing mount for it, allowing full access to the rear cargo area. “Search high and low...”

Interior
A climb inside and we see cloth and vinyl making up the seats. Smooth charcoal vinyl sides provide the framing for the black cloth cushions with yellow stitched zip zag and triangle patterning. These are front buckets and a rear bench in vinyl and are very clean and unmarred. The dash utilizes more charcoal for its plastic as well and presents very nicely. A multi-gauge cluster sits in front of the driver and in the center of the dash is the factory AM/FM/CD player, heater control knobs, and ventilation outlets. Charcoal gray carpet covers the floors and shows some wear but is protected by light gray carpeted mats. 2 shifters, one for the transmission and one for the transfer case grow from the console which also provides cupholders, a 12-volt power point, and an ample sized storage compartment. In the rear storage compartment clean charcoal gray carpet is seen. Very nice overall interior. “Follow every byway…”

Drivetrain
The 4.0 liter inline 6-cylinder turns this 4x4's screws and is aided in doing so by electronic fuel injection and a 5-speed manual transmission and puts out 190hp. 3.07 geared axles help you climb your way over every obstacle that gets in your path. All the fluids have recently been changed and the belts and thermostat were replaced. “Every path you know...”

Undercarriage
Deep gloss black covers all components of the undercarriage save for the OEM single exhaust system. A few areas show surface rust but all strong straight frame, and suspension underneath. This entire undercarriage has been cleaned and then rustproofed to ensure a long strong life. Independent coil springs upfront, and 4 link with coil springs on the rear along with dual pumpkins for your 4 wheelin. Front power disc brakes and rear power drums for your wilderness stop offs are noted and have recently had new lines, hoses, calipers and wheel cylinders installed. “Fjord every stream…”

Drive-Ability
This baby fires right up, runs smoothly, and all 4 x 4 gears work perfectly. A bit of a ride, but based on the height, pretty good. The tires sing when you cruise, and unfortunately the Classic Auto Mall test area does not have anything over 10 feet in altitude to try to climb.

A low mileage, all good condition Wrangler, complete with lift kit, BF Goodrich T/A tires, as well as a nice interior and convertible top if you will, this truck is ready to take you where no man has gone before, or at least the wilds of this country where you can reach new heights and sing its praises.
