1931 Ford Model A Pickup

The Ford Motor Company, with its F-series, has long held the distinction of building the best-selling trucks in America. That distinction dates back many decades, as Ford's commercial Model A and AA variants were also the most popular in their day. The best-selling Ford truck of 1931 was the Closed Cab Pick-up, which brought passenger-car style and some new features to the market.

This closed cab deluxe version of the 82-B 1931 Ford Pickups has been carefully restored. As seen by the photos, the underside is as beautiful as the topside and virtually no stone was left unturned during the frame off restoration. Immaculate paint, beautiful color combination and mechanically sound, this truck is a show stopper!

Exterior
All panels and exterior surfaces are shown in A-plus condition. The chrome grill, headlight buckets, rear view mirrors, bumpers and running lights are all in pristine condition and accent the truck beautifully. A Vermillion Red body, with black fenders and running boards, and Straw wire wheel accents, makes this truck look just stunning. Even the engine bay is very clean and has seen a lot of attention to detail. A vinyl top insert is seen and is supported by solid oak ferring strips and the bed of the truck has been relined with oak boards vita gloss varnish. The gate is fully operational, as is the bottom vented fold out windshield, which is topped by a matching metal exterior sun visor.

Interior
A black vinyl bench seat is framed by Vermillion Red painted steel interior surround, as well as black vinyl door panels. The original chrome “mask style” gauge cluster sits neatly in the center of the red field on the dash. A marbled red and white gearshift knob on a long manual shift lever is placed in a landscape of black pile carpeting.

Drivetrain
The familiar 40hp, 200.5-cu.in. L-head four-cylinder engine and three-speed sliding-gear transmission are seen under the engine cowling. All newly rebuilt ignition and carburetor, new hoses and radiator, are ready to roll condition.

This truck in beautiful drive away condition, has won many trophies, and presents very nicely from its 1999 body-off restoration. All first-class attention and very reasonably priced, makes this last year manufactured example of the deluxe version pickup a solid investment that can be enjoyed immediately and not just as a Sunday driver! Comes with a car cover and extra spare tire and wheel.
