2006 Ford F250 Supercab 4x4

In the advertising world, a good tag line can last a year or more. Rarely can you milk more than 42 years out of it. But Ford's truck line has managed to do it. I'm pretty confident it's the longest running" truck tagline out there, says Doug Scott, Ford's Truck Group marketing manager". 'Built Ford Tough' is the essence of what we're all about." They're also about selling trucks, which Ford has managed to do in abundance in the 41 years that its high-profit truck line has stayed atop the sales heap. They outsell all other car or truck nameplates. Scott says the tagline is a big reason for that success.

For consignment, a 1-owner, F250 Super Duty in super condition. It so happens our consignor and original owner is meticulous not only with exterior care but also with maintenance. This truck was always garage kept since new, had its oil changed every 3,500-4000 miles and has a mere 39,850 miles on the odometer. A suspension lift was added as well as Weld wheels, knobby tires, a performance tune, and a Magnaflow exhaust for a throaty tone. Exterior
Impressive to say the least, as this is one large truck. A Supercab with 2 full size front doors and 2 suicide style rear doors for easy access into the rear passenger compartment, there is no fooling around here. Beautiful straight tough steel, well minded gaps, and all bathed in Silver Metallic in super condition. The chrome is large and in charge here with all excellent surfaces. Under the tonneau cover of the 6.75' bed is a plastic bed liner, and the liner is in good used condition. A HD towing package has been added on from the factory along with upgraded towing mirrors. 17” Weld Cheyenne wheels shine on in all 4 corners and are wrapped with like new General Grabber A/T rubber in 35x12.50R17 format. Super duper!

Interior
Strapping on my carabiners, I'm preparing to belay up into this ultra-comfortable cabin. Once in, I'm met with medium flint cloth front buckets. These are manually adjustable seats and can be adjusted to fit anyone. The back part of the cab sports a spacious bench which folds up for extra storage or could be left down and double as your couch in your home. The door panels have been meticulously cared for, and have gray, with black vinyl and plastic accents, as well as plenty of power controls for the windows, locks and mirrors. The dash is original and clean and original complete with an AM/FM/CD stereo, climate controls, and the factory installed trailer towing controller. Up above, the headliner is tight, and carpeting is nearly in new condition in gray and protected with gray carpeted floor mats. The original steering wheel, wrapped in black presents as new. Super comfortable.

Drivetrain
An upgraded 5.4 Liter 3v SOHC V8 with a Supertune programmer adding an approximate 40hp to this big rig. All under the hood displays as new with no road dirt or patina. A 5R100W 5-speed automatic is attached to the back. At both ends limited slip 3.73 gears are in the differentials.

Undercarriage
Pretty typical for a truck from 2006, we note some patina, slight spotty surface rust, but structurally solid, and all very well maintained. A 6" Superlift lift kit has been installed to the coil spring and radius arm front suspension and the leaf spring rear. Bilstein shocks are on all 4 corners to help cushion the ride and Edelbrock stabilizer shocks have been added for high-speed stability. Power disc brakes are on all 4 corners and a Magnaflow exhaust system helps the engine exhale with ease. As an added bonus all the original suspension components are included with the purchase.

Drive-Ability
I can tell you it is well worth the climb as this truck starts immediately and runs smoothly. Plenty of pure power here and it also stops on a dime. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the ride is nice for a 4x4. But then again what would one expect from an almost new meticulously cared for truck.

A great example of a big lifted 4x4 Supercab, upgraded in the suspension and engine department, and painstakingly maintained, nice exterior paint and chrome, clean interior, and solid framework. If you are looking for an upgrade but you do not want to break the bank, you should take a serious look at this one.
