1954 Ford Crestline 2 -Door Hardtop
The year 1954 was a great year in sales for the Ford Motor Company and its line of passenger cars. The big news, however, was the introduction of Ford's overhead valve V-8 engine sporting 130 horse power. The new innovation replaced the old flathead engine. In 1954, Ford added several new models to its current line of cars, and the auto giant introduced the new models to the public on Jan. 6 of that year. American motorists at the time were very happy with the 1954 Ford model line although the body designs were a re-styled version of the 1952 and 1953 Ford models.
Ford did some pretty cars in the early 50's and the 1954 Ford Crestline 2 door hard top was one of the prettiest. This example we're offering is just stunning in bright red with red and white pleated vinyl interior. 1954 was the first year for the Ford Y-block and this car has the 239 CI 130 HP V8 backed up by the reliable Ford-A-Matic automatic transmission. To make driving and especially parking easier this car is also equipped with power steering. This car shows only 74,392 miles on the odometer and has been very well maintained thru out the years. The underside of this car is as solid as the top and shows no sign of ever having any rust repair work done. The dual exhaust and mild turbo mufflers give it just the right sound.
