1973 Porsche 911 T Targa

1973 was the last year of the narrow bodied small bumper Porsche 911. Available in three models, those being the E, T, and S configurations. It was also available in coupe and targa variations. The T model was the entry level 911 with the E and S models having 25 more hp than the T. The 2.4-liter engine produced 165hp in the T with E and S models having 190 hp. With power up, Porsche introduced a newer stronger transmission identified as the 915. A Sportomatic transmission was also available through special order.
Offered is a 3 owner 1973 Porsche 911 T with rare Sportomatic transmission. An older restoration, the 911 T had the problematic K-Jetronic CIS fuel injection removed and replaced with Zenith carburetors. During the restoration process the original light yellow exterior was changed to guards red while sporting its original black leather interior. All rusted panels were removed and replaced with new sheet metal. Included are the original owner's manual and Porsche Certificate of Authenticity listing the options of Fuchs alloys, front and rear stabilizer bars and Sportomatic transmission.
The car is of good “driver quality” with newer tires and recent service. There are minor flaws in the 20-year-old paint with chipping in certain areas on hood and targa area. Targa top is in good condition.
