1965 Chevrolet Malibu Pro Street
A Pro Street is a specific type of race car, typically an American muscle car. This class of vehicles are highly tuned, intended for pro-class races, but still have the ability to be street-legal (that they have proper safety features, lights and signals, and depending on jurisdictions, keep within a specified weight-to-horsepower ratio.) Commonly seen Pro Street cars are Chevy Novas, Chevelles, Plymouth Cudas, Dodge Chargers and Challengers.
Offered for sale is a 1965 Malibu modified to Pro Street function. Formally a drag car raced at Englishtown, New Jersey this Malibu is ready for street or strip. The car is powered by a 10.4-liter 632 cubic inch Chevrolet big block. The block is cast iron with all aluminum heads, Holley 1050 Dominator carburetor and an MSD ignition system. Engine accessories include electric water pump, oversized aluminum radiator with dual electric fans and Hooker headers.
The transmission is a 2-speed Powerglide with transmission brake, scatter shield and transmission cooler. The rear end is a Ford 9-inch mounted via a 3-link suspension with adjustable coil over shocks.
Included with the sale of the car are the following spares:
1 pair of mounted rear slicks
1 pair of racing seats
1 set of plexiglass side windows
1 MSD Pro Power racing coil
1 MSD ignition control module
1 pair header extensions
1 windshield wiper kit
And numerous other items.
A great value considering the amount of money spent on this Pro Street build.
