For consignment a horse drawn carriage, manufactured in Canada to shuttle heads of parliament or other dignitaries around for special events, parades or weddings. Lacquered french polished wood exterior, with a tufted and buttoned gold leather seating open carriage, this is the perfect vehicle to add to your wedding or event business, for that “Royal Treatment”

Exterior
Highly polished and lacquered wood makes up much of the exterior carriage construction. Some formed metal for the fenders, turned wood for the base and steel frame to hold everything together and provide rudimentary suspension. All bathed in highly lacquered and polished black paint with some pinstriping in gold surrounding these panels and highlighting the suspension and undercarriage. A so-called “Hackney coach” which translates to a horse drawn carriage for hire that can carry up to 6 passengers that sit behind the front seated carriage driver (This may be where the term “Hack” came to be referring to a Taxi driver?). This particular model is looking much like a princess carriage as it has a foldable canvas top with a headliner stitched inside in gold, a rear mounted trunk, and brass pumpkin shaped carriage lamps hanging up front from either side. Large wood spoked and pinstriped wheels have solid rubber tires surrounding them.

Interior
Delicate and elegant, the curvaceous seating for 6 passengers is behind the drivers front seat. These are tufted and buttoned gold leather covered and are amazingly comfortable. Upfront for the driver behind the simple curved wood dash is a single bench seat reserved just for him/her, which is also in gold leather. Under the convertible top are gold broadcloth stitched panels which add plenty of additional light to the interior when the top is in the up position. Some shiny chromed landau bars are noted on the sides and additional filigree handles and guards are mounted to the tops of the seat sides as well as the dash top. Cast iron steps are on either side to aid in your climb to the passenger compartment.

Undercarriage
Literally, metal construction with leaf spring suspension and metal hubs for the wood spoked wheels. No rust, nice black paint with gold pinstriping.

Practice your parade wave, don your large chapeau, and damn the plebeians we are going out for some fresh air(e). Hitch up the gallant steed(s) and ready the chauffeur, the public, and potential wedding brides and grooms, or parade notables who want to make a statement or just go back to the palace to retrieve their glass slipper, await.
