2008 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

Myron E. Scott went to work for Chevrolet in 1937, as an assistant director for the Public Relations department, where he was responsible for photography of new cars, designing of press kits, graphics, and special events. He was also known for being the creator of the All-American Soap Box Derby. After winning a contest with 300 submissions, Myron thought the name Corvette rolled off the tongue well and thought a tie to the fast strike ships called "Corvettes" from World War II would appeal to the American men, many who had served. This would go on to form the foundation for the nautical names that would be applied to Corvettes and concepts such as the Mako Shark and Sting Ray (later to be used as Stingray).

This LS3 6.2l V8 puts out 430hp, has paddle shifters, and the full capability to cruise low and steady, or go hot at a moment's notice. This coupe from Bowling Green presents in very good condition with 35,100 original miles. Black flawless fiberglass with removable roof panels that can be stored in the back.

Exterior
Black paint, in pristine condition, drapes the fiberglass, and 5 spoke forged wheels in chrome aluminum finish are seen on all 4 corners. Plenty of conveniences on the exterior including Xenon headlamps, heated and self dimming side mirrors, fog lamps and daytime running lights. An extreme raked front windshield is wrapped in black and is in perfect condition. A Z51 performance package is also on this “Vette for your driving pleasure."

Interior
Adorned in black leather with perforated black inserts, this 3LT Interior package with power buckets are beckoning you to get in, get grabbed, push the button, and go…fast! Noted on the driver's seat the bolster shows some wear through. The center console offers all the creature comforts you could want, as in dual climate control, AM/FM/CD, anti-skid mode button, power windows, and power mirrors, with the rear view mirror sporting an inset compass. The instrument cluster glows white and is all analog and fronted by a leather covered adjustable steering wheel that offers fingertip controls. A stitched padded two tone black vinyl dash top undulates and stretches from door to door and is pristine. Door panels are very simple gray tone, but effective in the design department, and a push button door opening actuator makes getting in and out a breeze. Also noted is a navigation system starring in the center screen.

Drivetrain
An LS3 6.2 Liter (376ci) mill fits snugly under the hood and makes a tire melting 430hp. The manual 6-speed T56 transmission is bolted on the back. This combination puts power to the ground thru a 3.42 geared limited slip differential.

Undercarriage
This car has seen little if any foul weather, always garaged, and the undercarriage proves it. All clean even down to the exhaust system, and ground effects floor pan panels. No runs, no drips, no errors on this cream puff that happens to be heated with some Jalapeno flavor under the bonnet and painted with menacing black. Power disc brakes all around and excellent tuned suspension all around which includes the Z-51 package

Drive-Ability
Quick starter, runs well, all functions functioning as they should. handles like it's on rails and is a comfortable long haul cruiser to boot. Active handling is definitely a plus.
