Bertha Benz changed automotive history by packing her two teenage sons into a car and driving to her mother's house. It doesn't exactly sound impressive, but the year was 1888. A 65-mile road trip by car had never been attempted before—certainly not by a lone woman toting her children. The road trip stunt had the intended effect: The Benz business started thriving. The trip also helped Benz hone his invention; when Bertha reported back about the car's struggle to get up steep hills, Karl added the world's first gear system. You can still drive the Bertha Benz Memorial Route today, but it'll take you about an hour as opposed to the 12 it took Bertha—though, presumably, you won't be making stops to make MacGyver-like repairs using only articles of your own clothing.

Exterior
Designo Mystic Braun Metallic covers the surfaces of this awesome sculpted 4 door sedan. Curved steel interplays with chrome and stainless steel trim to form the aerodynamic exterior of this car. Self leveling, light sensing with a washer capabilities sealed halogen headlights are molded into the front, where they flank a central chromed horizontal ribbed grille, and tri pointed star hood ornament. Body matching rear view mirrors have inset turn signal indicators as an extra step to safety alerting others around you you are coming in! A large smoked glass moon roof opens up for extra airflow to the front passengers, and in the back of the roof is a smoked glass panel allowing filtered daylight to come into the rear passengers. Angled taillights frame the trunk lid, and below is a body matching bumper with inset chromed tipped exhaust ports on either side. Big 20 inch 10 spoke wheels in alloy are all around and are free of road rash.

Interior
Spacious, filled with fawn colored leather, and plenty of convenience options, this interior is in excellent condition. All clean with LED display instruments staring the driver in the face, and plenty of fingertip controls for your operation. 14 way front driver's seat, exterior mirrors, power windows, climate control, Bluetooth phone and audio controls, 6 CD changer are just a few of the conveniences on a long list. A beautiful almost 3 dimensional center display shows various functions including a navigation screen, backup camera, airflow, audio mixing, and seat massager, all available at the touch of a thumbwheel in the center console. Plenty of storage in here as well, and copious amounts of rear legroom for the 3 passenger rear bench. Wonderful clean carpet floods the floors, and leather is supple and very clean overall.

Drivetrain
A 5.5 Liter DOHC V8 rests comfortably under the hood, within the clean engine bay. 7 speeds for the automatic transmission which is also shiftable from the convenience of steering wheel paddles, will jet you down the highway while saving fuel.

Undercarriage
German engineering is known for its attention to detail, as well as performance, and this car has several ground effects panels that cover all the mechanicals underneath. No rust, just clean panels. 4-wheel independent suspension is all around as is multi-link rear and front suspension, and stabilizer bars. Power disc brakes are on all 4 corners of this car.

Drive-Ability
A slip inside the leather, and I'm in my own world surrounded by conveniences, and the Harmon-Kardon sound system. A quick starter, I barely knew this car was running. However alas run it did, much like a deer who is being pursued by a foe. Handling was superb, acceleration was very noticeable but super smooth and quiet, and braking stopped straight and on a dime. Comforts abounded, as well as conveniences which all were in perfect working order, for me to get it just right for me!

A beautiful well-maintained example of this luxury classic from 2011. Comes with 2 sets of remote keys and a set of WeatherTech mats. Great color combination, excellent condition, and lots of 5.5-liter power, it is the essence of German engineering and ultimate luxe comfort.
