1980 Triumph Spitfire 1500

Offered here is the last year of production for the Triumph Spitfire. Designed by Michelotti Design with initial production in England in 1962, the Spitfire evolved into one of England's most beloved and raced sportscars.
With new US DOT and EPA regulations, Triumph as well as other British Marques were destined to no longer perform or appear as sleek as their predecessors.
Presented for sale is a very nice driver quality Triumph 1500. Repainted in its original Old English White with original black vinyl interior, the Spitfire shows 37,111 miles on the odometer. There is no rust to be found on body or frame of which is a notorious issue with these cars. Powered by the 1500cc inline 4-cylinder engine producing 71 hp, the 1500 utilizes a fully-synchronized 4-speed transmission. Finishing off the appearance is a beautiful set of alloy wheels and like new tires.
