1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Coupe

Although the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 was a muscle car for the common man, set up the right way, its performance was distinctly uncommon.
After a year as a separate model, the SS 396 was made a $348 option package for '69. That widened its availability from the Malibu sport coupe and convertible, to the Chevelle 300-series hardtop and pillared coupe (it also was offered on the open-bed El Camino). All Chevelles got minor styling changes, including new taillamps. SS 396s looked cleaner than ever. The power-bulge hood was still just for show, but more-prominent "SS 396" badging inside and out and standard five-spoke mag wheels burnished the image.

This one owner, over the top maintained 1969 Chevelle is the best of the best. A breathtaking example, this survivor Chevelle has just 54,881 original miles, although the Pennsylvania title reads exempt due to age. This car was purchased new at Heimbach and Sweatt Chevrolet in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. All the documentation including the original order sheet, original build sheets (1 complete and 1 partial), retail contract, owner's manuals and the factory brochure are with the car. Shown in the pictures are copies, but we do have the originals. Also, comes with every maintenance record from new and lots of trophy's from the car shows it entered and won. This numbers matching SS has the 325 HP 396 CI engine backed up by the Muncie 4 speed sending all those horses to a posi-traction 12 bolt rear. Options include power steering, AM radio, bucket seats and a center console. A Lemans Blue paint job with black vinyl top and dark blue bucket seat interior are just stunning. When you are so used to seeing black interior's this dark blue is exciting to see. This amazing automobile was $3,926 when new. Words cannot do this car justice, it must be seen in person to get the full impact of this amazing car.
